Ruud H. Bosman, vice chairman of Johnston-based FM Global, will retire in November after 40 years with the company, setting off management changes at the commercial property insurer.
Bosman joined FM Global in 1971 and was elected to its board of directors and named its vice chairman in 2009 where he had overall responsibility for all of FM Global's operations, engineering, underwriting, marketing and claims activities around the world.
Upon Bosman's retirement, Jonathan W. Hall, executive vice president, and Thomas A. Lawson, executive vice president, will report to Shivan S. Subramaniam, chairman and chief executive officer.
Hall, who oversees underwriting and reinsurance, claims, marketing and enterprise learning, and engineering and research divisions, will assume executive management responsibility for Affiliated FM, a member of the FM Global Group. Lawson, who is responsible for FM Global's Canada, Central, Eastern and Western U.S. divisions, will assume executive management responsibility for the company's EMEA/Asia Pacific division.
