The rollout of cause-related Christmas sales programs begins in earnest this week as the Kohl's department store chain has begun its annual Kohl's Cares for Kids campaign. Since 2000, the Wisconsin chain has sold popular childrens books and related stuffed toys to raise money for children's health and education initiatives. The chain has raised $126 million for the initiatives by selling items from "Curious George" and other popular series. This year, Koh's is selling books that are part of Laura Numeroff's "If You Give . . ." series. The items retail for $5 eac and all of the profits go to initiatives benefiting children |
