Home-improvement chain The Home Depot Inc. on Nov. 8 will start a trade-in program for power drills, giving customer 15 percent off a new lithium-ion drill in exchange for a used or broken power drill. It is the first time the Atlanta-based chain has offered a trade-in program for drills. In a reprise of a program the chain started in 2008, Home Depot also will give customers a $3 coupon good on a new strand of LED holiday lights in exchange for an old light strand. The coupons are valid Nov. 5 to Nov. 15, and are limited to five per customer. Home Depot is offering the trade-ins as part of its Eco Options program, an energy efficiency initiative. |
