By Jack Perry Gas prices in Rhode Island have dropped for the fourth straight week, according to AAA Southern New England. The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline at the self-service pump is $2.599, down four cents in the last week and 11 cents in the last month, according to AAA's weekly survey. Rhode Island drivers are paying $1.44 less per gallon than they were at this time last year, but 13 cents more than the national average. AAA found a 23-cent range in its price survey, from a low of $2.459 to a high of $2.689. As usual, the car club advises drivers to shop around for the best price.
