WARWICK, R.I. -- A Providence woman has won the NYLO Hotels Sales Apprentice Contest, a spokesman announced Friday. Genna Lepore, 23, a graduate of Northwestern University, was selected among 10 finalists during the five-day search for great sales talent that started last Saturday. Lepore has earned a paid sales position with the NYLO sales team at the Warwick hotel, a restored mill building at 400 Knight St. Maria Pichardo, 20, from Penfield NY, and a student at Johnson & Wales University, also won a three-month internship with NYLO. The contest, inspired by Donald Trump's The Apprentice series, challenged contestants on various marketing skills, with a focus on organizing a fundraiser for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. In the effort, contestants raised $3,520. NYLO Hotels feature urban loft-style accommodations. The company has hotels in Warwick, Dallas and Plano, TX. |
