Hasbro Inc. named Deb Thomas as chief financial officer, the Pawtucket toy company said Friday. She succeeds David Hargreaves, who had been serving as both the chief operating officer and the CFO for a year.

Thomas, 45, has been with Hasbro for 11 years, serving in a number of senior-level finance jobs. Most recently, she was senior vice president and head of corporate finance.

Prior to joining Hasbro, Thomas worked at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. She is a graduate of Providence College.

Thomas will report directly to Hargreaves, who was named chief operating officer in May 2008. Hargreaves succeeded Brian Goldner as chief operating officer, when Goldner was named chief executive officer.
