Friendly Ice Cream Corp., the Wilbraham, Mass., company that operates the Friendly's chain of more than 500 restaurants, will hold a Free Ice Cream Day from noon to 5 p.m on Saturday, June 6.

"With 26 flavors to choose from including Hunka Chunka PB Fudge, Black Raspberry, and ever-popular Vanilla, Friendly's offers a flavor for every taste," the company said in a press release.

This is the second year for Friendly's Free Ice Cream Day. Last year, the company gave away more than 300,000 free cones.

There are four Friendly's in Rhode Island, in: Cranston, Pawtucket, North Providence, South Kingstown, Warwick and Westerly. The company also operates stores in nearby Massachusetts, in Attleboro, Fall River, North Dartmouth and Seekonk.
