Eleven branches of the former Benjamin Franklin bank opened Monday morning under the signs of Rockland Trust. Rockland Trust, which acquired Benjamin Franklin Bancorp Inc. for about $84.5 million earlier this year completed the changeover at branches in Bellingham, Foxboro, Franklin, Medfield, Milford, Newton, Waltham, Watertown and Wellesley, all in Massachusetts. Rockland Trust is a unit of Independent Bank Corp., which is based in Rockland. The bank has 71 retail branches, 10 commercial lending centers and two mortgage banking centers in Eastern Massachusetts.
