T.F. Green Airport on Friday unveiled a marketing campaign that calls the Warwick facility the convenient alternative to Boston's Logan International Airport.

One of the slogans in the campaign: "Choosing simplicity over chaos. AKA- choosing Green over Logan... is a no brainer."

Another: "Travelers can avoid the Boston chaos and fly T.F. Green Airport with its easy highway access, convenient parking and renovated state-of-the-art facility."

The campaign touts conveniences at Green, many of them that have been in place or in the works since the middle of last year.

Those include:

  • $11-a-day parking in some lots and garages, plus a $12-a-day promotional rate in the more desirable Garage B, available with an Internet coupon.
  • The removal of bomb-detection luggage scanners from near airline ticket counters. The scanners were replaced with similar equipment in the baggage-handling facility.
  • An array of shops and restaurants, many of them newly opened in the last year.
  • New computer screens with flight information throughout the terminal.

"These upgrades are another step in maintaining the high levels of customer service and quality that T.F. Green Airport is known for," said airport president Kevin A. Dillon.
