Eleven local entrepreneurs will be awarded $150,000 in grants Wednesday morning to help them start and expand their businesses. The grants will be awarded by the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and the City of Providence as part of the Knowledge Economy effort. The awards, to be presented at the AS220/Providence Fab Lab in downtown Providence, will be given in the areas of workforce development, alternative energy, entrepreneurship and product design. |
