By Andy Smith Citadel Broadcasting, owner of WPRV-AM (790) will switch the radio station from a "True Oldies" music format to talk, with an emphasis on business and personal finance, beginning Monday. The station will continue to air Don Imus on weekday mornings from 6 to 10. The lineup will then switch to The Joe Scarborough Show from 10 a.m. to noon, and the Dave Ramsey Show from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. A local financial talk show, The Making Money Show, will air from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. It's hosted by David Brochu, president and CEO of Strategic Point Investment Advisors of Providence. Lou Dobbs, managing editor for CNN, also hosts a radio show that will air from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. WPRV will also broadcast material from Bloomberg Financial, including Bloomberg First Word from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m., Bloomberg Surveillance from noon to 2 p.m., and Bloomberg Taking Stock from 5 p.m, to 5:30 p.m. The station will also continue to air New York Yankees baseball. |
