The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is recruiting summer interns interested in engineering and transportation. College students in good academic standing are eligible for the internships, which run from mid-May through mid-September. Pay ranges from $9 to $13 per hour. Positions are available in auditing, computer information systems, construction, enviornmental protection, highway, traffic and bridge design, historic preservation, landscaping, legal services, materials, planning, and public affairs. Deadline for applications is April 17. Applications must include a letter detailing the applicant's education and work experience, a statement of career plans, and an official copy of the applicant's latest academic transcript.
