U.S. Sens. Jack Reed and Michael Bennet today will discuss Democrats' efforts to strengthen the economy by passing last year's appropriations bills. Among other benefits, the bills will ensure that children have access to K-12 education, students can pay for college, and people can afford quality health care. Three leaders whose organizations' success rely on government support - Gregory Cendana, vice president of the U.S. Student Association; Alan Morgan, chief executive officer of the National Rural Health Association; and Deborah Weinstein, executive director of the Coalition on Human Needs - will join the senators. |
