Toymaker extends movie licensing deal

Pawtucket-based Hasbro Inc. and Marvel Entertainment Inc. said that Hasbro will continue through 2017 to have the rights to make toys and games based on new Marvel and Columbia Pictures movies and Marvel characters such as Spider-Man.

The license extension guarantees $100 million in royalties and as much as $140 million.

The current agreement ran through 2011.
