An economic stimulus bill will pass the U.S. Senate after changes made to the wording that will calm worries about protectionism, U.S. Sen. Jack Reed, D-RI, said this morning in an interview with CNBC. "The direct investment in infrastructure, targeting tax credits for working families, all that is designed to get people back to work," Reed told the financial news channel. The bill is being ""reformulated" in the Senate to avoid setting up a "symbolic battle between nations" on trade, he said. |
