Three executives from Treanor Brothers Animation, a 3D animation studio in Providence with an unusually innovative corporate Web site, will talk about their company tomorrow at the first Providence Geeks dinner of the year.

The Geeks, an IT industry group, has been hosting monthly gatherings at AS220, on Empire Street, since early 2006. At tomorrow's event, Todd Treanor, Paul Treanor and Paul DiPierro will give "an overview of their studio and show off some of their tools, techniques and recent work."

The events are designed to breed a sense of camaraderie among technology workers in Rhode Island, where the founders of start-ups have complained about a sense of isolation that hurts recruitment. In an interview with The Providence Journal earlier this month, the CEO of Andera Inc., Charlie Kroll, said it is difficult to compete with the lure of Boston's technology cluster along Route 128.

"A labor pool is the number one problem of being in Rhode Island," Kroll said. Potential employees, he said, "think they're missing out an on opportunity if they're not on 128."
