Senate President Teresa Paiva Weed will be the guest speaker at a breakfast hosted by the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce on Thursday at 8 a.m. at Kirkbrae Country Club, 197 Old River Road, Lincoln. She will address the state's deficit, the 2010 State Budget, and the Senate and House plans to promote economic development. The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of business in the communities of Burrillville, Central Falls, Cumberland, Glocester, Lincoln, North Smithfield, Pawtucket, Smithfield and Woonsocket. The Chamber has 1,000 members and leads a lobbying coalition of nearly 13,500 businesses who are members of 13 other chambers of commerce in the state. |
