Rite Aid Corp., the third-largest drugstore chain in the U.S. and in Rhode Island, this morning posted its sixth straight quarterly loss because of interest costs and store expenses. The third-quarter net loss widened to $243.1 million, or 30 cents a share, compared with $84.8 million, or 12 cents, a year earlier, the Camp Hill, Pennsylvania-based company said Rite Aid trails Woonsocket-based CVS Corp. and Walgreens in number of stores and sales. |
