The contract is valued at about $176 million over five years, National Heritage, which has a regional office in Hingham, Mass., will serve as the first point of contact for the processing and payment of Medicare fee-for-service claims from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians and other health-care practitioners in Rhode Island and four other New England states. National Heritage will take claims payment work now performed by three intermediaries and two carriers who currently serve the market covered by Rhode Island and four other New England states. |
