Tourism officials from across the region are gathering in the Blackstone Valley this week for a 3 1/2-day summit, called Civic Tourism 2, to discuss creating and marketing communities as visitor destinations.

This morning, they are gathering at the historic Slater Mill in Pawtucket for speeches and a round-table discussion called "Put the heart back in your community."
