Here's a Rhode Island company benefitting from high energy prices.

Vectrix, the Middletown-based maker of all-electric scooters, reported selling 1,184 bikes for the year that ended Sept. 30. That's up 156 percent from the prior year.

The company also reported revenue of $6.7 million, up from $800,000 in the prior year.

"The second half of the financial year has been an exciting time at Vectrix," said Michael Boyle, chief executive officer.
