Kohl's opens North Kingstown store

Despite the slumping economy, Kohl's plans to open 46 stores nationwide this morning, including one at the gateway to Quonset Point in North Kingstown. The store at 110 Gate Road employs about 150 full and part time workers. Kohl's, the middle-market department store based in Wisconsin, has two other stores in Rhode Island and 1,000 stores nationwide.
