Woonsocket-based CVS Caremark Corp. reported this morning that third-quarter profits rose on sales of store-branded products. Net income climbed to $736 million, or 50 cents a share, from $689.5 million, or 45 cents, a year earlier, the company said today. Profit excluding some items was 60 cents a share, CVS said. Sales advanced to $20.9 billion from $20.5 billion. |
