Year Up Providence, a program designed to provide low-income urban youth with educational and career opportunities, has named Nick Richardson as new executive director. Richardson replaces Sara Strammiello Enright who is leaving to take a position in the program's national office. Year Up, with programs in Providence, Boston, Washington, D.C., New York and Atlanta, offers high school or GED graduates six months of classroom training combined with six months of job apprenticeship. Richardson was an intern at Year Up's national office while pursing his MBA at Dartmouth. He's also been program development coordinator at the Center for Teen Empowerment in Boston. |
