Governor Carcieri will serve as host at a series of dinners in the Boston area to try to lure Massachusetts businesses to Rhode Island. The dinners, which will begin soon, are mainly for executives in certain sectors, such as financial services and the life sciences, said Saul Kaplan, executive director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. The dinners, to be held over the next two months or so, will offer an opportunity "to sell the state" and to "get the story out" about what Rhode Island has to offer, Governor Carcieri said earlier today. The dinners are part of the state's efforts to attract and retain business, Kaplan said. CommentsLeave a comment |
