Marriott opens hotel in West Greenwich

Marriott International, Inc. (MAR:NYSE) plans to open its 100-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in West Greenwich on Wednesday.

Located at 755 Centre of New England Boulevard, the Residence Inn Providence-Coventry will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Tharaldson Enterprises of Fargo, North Dakota.

"We are pleased to introduce Residence Inn hotels in the West Greenwich area," said Tim Sheldon, senior vice president, brand management, extended stay for Marriott International.

Residence Inns are designed as all suite hotels that offer studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites for stays of five nights or more.

Residence Inn has more than 550 hotels in 47 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Mexico.
