Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen an average of 11 cents and are now below the $4.00 mark, according to AAA Southern New England.

The average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline is $3.959 at the self-service pump, according to AAA's weekly survey.

The price is 15 cents per gallon lower than it was three weeks ago, but drivers are nevertheless paying $1.05 more per gallon than they were at this time last year.

The price for diesel fuel has dropped seven cents to $4.84.
