The Dunkin’ Donuts Center in downtown Providence will close Friday night after its last concert to begin the third phase of a renovation directed by the Rhode Island Convention Center Authority, the building’s owner. The three-year phased renovation is on schedule for a grand re-opening the weekend of September 5.
Some of the work scheduled to be completed this summer includes finishing the remaining areas of the old lobby, a Providence Bruins store, upgrades to loge seating areas, exterior work and all new seats in the arena.
