The state’s top airport official says that the proposed Delta-Northwest merger isn’t likely to have any impact on TF Green Airport. Though neither airline has talked about what route changes they might make as a merged company, Kevin Dillon, president and chief executive officer of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation, doesn’t anticipate any changes to operations at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick. “I would anticipate that the impact would be minimal, if any impact at all,” Dillon said in a telephone interview. “They all serve essentially different parts of the country.” In fact, Dillon said, the merger could benefit the airport. “I don't really see any negative at this point,” he added. |
