Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have increased two cents and are now just three cents below the all-time high, according to a report this morning from AAA Southern New England. The average price for a gallon of regular, unleaded gasoline is $3.209 per gallon at the self-service pump, according to AAA's weekly survey. The record high here was reached in 2005 soon after Hurricane Katrina. Rhode Island is 13 cents below the national average of $3.33 for self-service regular. A year ago at this time the average price of regular unleaded gasoline in Rhode Island was $2.749.
