Figure skating championship begins in Providence

The United States Synchronized Skating championships are beginning today in Providence with practices at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

The winners will be announced on Saturday, Feb. 23, according to the Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline and Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian were expected to attend a welcoming ceremony this morning at the Dunk.
