Toray Plastics (America), Inc. is holding a recruitment drive this morning to fill 10 full-time jobs, with starting pay of $32,000 with overtime, at its North Kingstown manufacturing plant.

The new hires will start as packaging technicians and most will be promoted to production technicians by the end of 2008, at an annual salary of up to $36,000, including anticipated overtime, said Mike Mulcahy, Toray's employment representative.

Packaging technicians wrap and label products for shipment. Production technicians oversee machine operations. Both job titles require 12-hour shifts and offer full benefits. Hires must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Toray produces polyester and polypropylene films for flexible and rigid packaging, lidding, graphic, industrial, optical and electronic applications.

A job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the West Warwick netWORKri Career Center, 1330 Main Street.
