U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has introduced legislation to ban Internet hunting, according to Last year, the General Assembly banned the shooting of live animals by computer users remotely operating a digital camera, live ammunition and a rifle positioned on a ranch. The ban followed protests from The Humane Society, which called the business the "latest fad in Internet animal cruelty." A total of 34 states have banned the practice, the group says.
