With the critical, toy-selling season well underway, Alfred J. Verrecchia, president and CEO of Hasbro, will answer questions about the toy industry during an online chat sponsored by the University of Rhode Island at 1 p.m. To enter the chat, go to http://advance.uri.edu/chats
Tonight, at 7:30 p.m., Verrecchia and two other business leaders will discuss doing business in China at the URI Honors Colloquium, titled China Rising. The event is free and open to the public. It will be in the Chafee Auditorium at URI's Kingston campus.
Jeffrey Everett, former president of Templeton Global Advisors Limited, will give a lecture "Compassion and Capitalism" tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Barzarsky Lecture Hall, located in O'Hare Academic Center on Salve Regina's campus. the lecture is free and open to the public.
