The big cheese is coming Downcity

Matt and Kate Jennings, owners of Farmstead, a food shop well-regarded by East Siders and foodies beyond the Providence city limits, have confirmed they will open a Downcity venue to sell their artisnal cheeses and gourmet foods. The couple said they'll open a second location, at 223 Westminster St., "after the madness of the holidays have doed down." The original Farmstead and La Laiterie, the bistro they run adjacent to it, will remain at 186 Wayland Avenue.
