Pawtucket toymaker Hasbro Inc. will appeal the 5.1-million-euro ($7.3 million) fine levied by France over claims the company conspired with retailers and other manufacturers to fix the price of toys.
Hasbro spokesman Wayne Charness told Bloomberg News today: "We continue to believe we did nothing wrong. We will be vigorously appealing" the ruling.
Hasbro, the world's second-largest toymaker, was one of eight compaines fined for violating a French pricing law.
