Hasbro is trying to strengthen the tie in between its line of toys and popular movies and other Hollywood-produced entertainment by putting a veteran studio executive in charge.
Pawtucket-based Hasbro this morning said it hired Lisa Licht, an executive for Twentieth Century Fox, to the newly-created job of general manager, entertainment and licensing. She will be based in Los Angeles.
Her job will be to develop movies, TV shows and video games based on Hasbro's line of children's toys and family products. Her hiring comes after Hasbro has reported financial success by selling toys tied to movies such as Transformers and Spiderman.
