Cox Communications, battling with Verizon for cable customers in Rhode Island, has made a deal with Wal-Mart to sell its phone, video and Internet services at the retailer's locations in Warwick, Coventry, Newport, North Kingstown and Providence. "By bringing Cox services to Wal-Mart locations, Wal-Mart shoppers can quickly and easily bundle our telephone, video and Internet services into an affordable solution for all their communication and entertainment needs," said Roger Sokolosky, vice president of sales, Cox New England. While Cox has been the dominant cable provider in Rhode Island, Verizon has begun to offer cable services in certain locations. |
